Mari Kelve-Liivsoo is a lawyer with the litigation and public procurement team. She holds an MA degree in law. In her Master’s thesis she analysed the application of the standard term directive on public contracts and the potential conflict between private and public procurement law. During her studies she successfully represented the University of Tartu in the European Law Moot Court competition, and qualified in the top four of the regional final, acquiring in-depth knowledge of state aid. She has studied corporate social responsibility and completed the Summer Law School of European Private Law at the University of Salzburg. During her studies, Mari worked as a teaching assistent. She is still actively involved with the University of Tartu, participating in the project UproEU (“Engaging young talent to promote comprehensive understanding of EU law“) implemented by Jean Monnet’ Chair.
In addition to her law degree, she has completed studies in English Philology and holds an MA in both conference interpreting and translation. She has extensive international experience, having worked as an interpreter for EU institutions since 2004. In Estonia, she is a sworn translator, translating from French into Estonian.
