Mirko is the member of the intellectual property and IT team at PwC Legal Estonia and the common keywords in his work include IT contracts, cryptocurrencies and blockchain as well as the related legal issues.
Prior to joining PwC Legal, Mirko worked at the technology company Levercode where he was active in the development of cryptocurrencies and the legal issues related to the cryptocurrency exchange platform and payment gateway. He has been involved in the preparation of documents related to service conditions, internal rules and regulations and contracts as well as their legal and risk analysis. He has also prepared software development documents and helped create a corporate legal strategy.
Mirko holds the Master of Laws degree from the University of Tartu, majoring in IT law. Throughout his studies, he has practiced at various law firms as well as in the legal department of the Permanent Representation of Estonia to the European Union and the legal department of the City Council of Tartu. He has also gained experience while working with various bailiffs. He has taken courses at the University of Konstanz in Germany where he has acquired knowledge in the areas of the European private and competition law as well as international commercial arbitration.
In addition to his solid knowledge base, Mirko is also a talented speaker: among the European countries his team won the first prize at the International Negotiation Competition and he has also had the honour of reaching the finals at the Estonian Moot Court competition.
